Typical grades such as P20, 718, and 1.2311 are pre-hardened plastic mould tool steels with different chemical compositions, hardness, and wear resistance, mainly used in the manufacture of injection molds, extrusion dies, die-casting molds, and other products. 1.2312 is a variant of 1.2311 with a higher sulfur content, which improves machinability but reduces polishability.
